From an entertainment perspective there is much to do in the local area. Close by in Killarney Town there are many pubs, restaurants and hotels where one can spend many relaxing hours. There is also an ample choice of leisure activities including discos, cabaret and a large cinema complex. Other recreation activities are also available including swimming, cycling, horse riding, fishing, boating, tours, pony treking, and so on. Whatever your interests you will most certainly find a forum for accommodating them in Hollybough House's local area.
Nearby in Killorglin there are also plenty of opportunities for night life and for seeing some of the local traditional pubs. In the local area of Hollybough House traditional Irish music is available and the picture on the left shows some members of a nearby family playing traditional Irish music at one of the local pubs in Killorglin. Kate Kearney´s cottage is nearby at the Gap of Dunloe and also offers traditional music as well as a souvenir shop. In Beaufort village there are three pubs including the well renowned Beaufort Bar & Restaurant, Sheehan´s Pub and Galvin´s Bar. All offer the tourist the finest of facilities and entertainment.
 From a leisure perspective there is plenty to do in the local area. Whilst touring Killarney or the Ring of Kerry one can visit many pubs and restaurants as well as gift and tourist stores. There are also many old and prestigious buildings to be seen (see photos of Killarney Cathedral and Deenagh House) and these are only a stroll away from Noraville House. Many of our tourists enjoy the opportunity of taking a horse and cart (see photo) from Killarney Town around Killarney National Park, or to Muckross House and Gardens. Others enjoy a pleasant stroll around Killarney Town or to the adjacent National Parks.
Another popular tourist attraction includes Muckross House and Gardens (see photo). This is a 19th Century Manor surrounded by magnificent and beautiful gardens. Muckross House is also adjacent to the Killarney Lakes and enjoys spectacular views and scenery, and the many attractions will offer the avid tourist many hours of breathtaking views and tranquil relaxation. Muckross House is now a museum of Kerry folk life and has an excellent crafts centre in its basement. Muckross House is also adjacent to the Killarney Lakes and therefore enjoys spectacular views and scenery.
 Ross Castle (See Photo) dates from the 14th century and stands on a peninsula which extends into Lough Leane is one of the finest examples of castle building in Ireland. Ross Castle is only 2km from Killarney Town Centre and is off the main Killarney to Kenmare road. At Ross Castle you are welcome to hire a boat which will allow you to tour the Killarney Lakes and see a number of sights which Killarney has to offer.
