  A Soldier's Diary
by
Cathal

I won the war
But I feel no pride
Because in both armies
People have died
Why must we fight
To feel in control?
Why should we need defence
Elite or patrol?
We're tearing apart the Earth
With this thing called war
Because sometimes power is addictive
We just seek more.

The Seaside
by
Cathal

The sun's shining
The breeze is blowing
People are tanning
The bright sea is glowing

The sun is setting
The tide's getting high
The beach is getting the dark
The seagulls quieten their cry

The next morning's full of sun
The beach is full again
The adults came to get a tan
The children came for fun
