| Commercials Hurling Club was founded in 1886. It was formed by bar and shop workers from the country, who were working and living in Dublin. At first they trained in the Phoenix Park and later at Marley Grange, Rathfarnham. In 1978 they bought the 14 acre site at Rathcoole from the Shiels family for £28,500. |
