This tutorial was wrote for Paint Shop Pro X, but I have tested it in
PSP 7, any resemblance to any other tut on the web is purely coincidental.

To do this Tut you will need the Vizros plugin filter,unfortunately
it is no longer free, however there is a restricted trial version here

After working through this tutorial you should end up with this type of result,

STEP (1)

Download and open the Ghost Template. here

( REMEMBER TO SAVE REGULARLY)

STEP (2)

Select the Gold Frame Layer and, create a new Rasher Layer above it.

STEP (3)

Set your Foreground color to black, and then select
the Flood Fill Tool, with Rasher 1, Layer selected
click your Document to fill it with the black,
your layer palette should now look like this.

STEP (4)

Right click on the Ghost Layer and click Merge/Merge Down.

NOTE:- the reason for carrying out this merging step is that it will
give us nice smooth edges to the 8 ghost layers we will be creating

STEP (5)

With Rasher Layer 1, selected, right click on it
and duplicate it seven times, in order not to get
confused, lets rename these 8 Layers, Ghost 1, to Ghost 8,

STEP (6)

Go to Image and in its drop-down menu click Rotate Right.
your Layer Palette should now look like this.

STEP (7)

Select Ghost Layer 1, then make Ghost Layers 2 to 8
invisible by clicking on their eye icons.

STEP (8)

Go to Effects and in its drop-down menu click on
Plugins/Vizros/Fold, when its pop-up box appears
make these settings, make sure the Opaque and
Shading adjustment sliders are to the far
right for the 4 pages, then click OK.

STEP (9)

Select Ghost Layer 2, click its eye icon to make it visible, again go
to Effects and bring up the Vizros Fold filter, all settings will have
remained the same, so just change the Phase setting to 10, click OK.

STEP (11)

Carry out applying the Vizros Fold filter to the,
rest of the Ghost Layers with these Phase settings:-
Ghost Layer 3 Phase setting 20
Ghost Layer 4 Phase setting 30
Ghost Layer 5 Phase setting 40
Ghost Layer 6 Phase setting 50
Ghost Layer 7 Phase setting 60
Ghost Layer 8 Phase setting 70

STEP (12)

Go to Image and in its drop-down menu click Rotate Left.

STEP (13)

Go to the Tool Palette and select the Magic Wand Tool, and make these settings.

STEP (14)

Select Ghost Layer 1, and click on the black background of your
Document this will make a selection (marching ants) all around
the black, then on your Keyboard push the delete key, next right
click your Document to Deselect (stop the marching ants).

Carry out this procedure to the rest of the Ghost Layers
remembering to deselect (stop marching ants) after every delete

STEP (15)

Again Select Ghost Layer 1, then go to Adjust and its drop-down menu click on
Blur/Gaussian Blur, when the pop-up box appears set the Gaussian Blur Radius
to 0.5 also apply Gaussian Blur radius 0.5 to the rest of the Ghost layers,

That's it we are done, all you need to do now is add a tube etc, and
take it into Animation Shop, set the display times for all frames to 1
