Dec..07

Dear Parents/ Guardians,

Many thanks for the wonderful support given to our Christmas concert. The hard work of the past month has paid off with wonderful performances from all classes in the school.

A special word of thanks to Hilda Kent and Margaret Bowe who spent days at the school helping with costumes. Our thanks also to Tommy Hayes for doing lights & sound, James Whitty & Michael Halligan for helping backstage and Seamus the hall caretaker. Congratulations to the Hall Committee on the wonderful interior work they have just completed. We are very fortunate to have use of such a great facility.

Thanks also to those who donated prizes for the nightly raffles & to the Parent Association who organised the raffle.

Please note that school will be closed tomorrow 7th December as a holiday. We can then look forward to having two weeks to enjoy the build up to Christmas!

A highly recommended visiting Variety Show will visit the school on Weds. 12th. There is a cost of €4 per child for this and it promises to be very entertaining.

You may have noticed that we haven’t had any charity fundraiser this term. As we approach Christmas we are going to support the ISPCC Holly Days Campaign by having our own dedicated Holly Day on Friday 14th Dec. Children are asked to buy a holly sprig for €2. We would appreciate your support.
