Dear Parents/ Guardians,
As we head into February we are conscious of how
quickly the months are passing and with enrolments for
next year coming in we are already looking to the next
school year. Please remember that enrolments must
be in by February 29th.
Extra date to remember
In listing important dates in the last newsletter I
forgot to include our School Development Planning Day
which will be held on Monday 25th
February. We did not have this date when sending out
our school calendar in September. Teachers will have
in-school curriculum planning on this day while children
remain at home.

already taken place. The handball team of Dale Flynn,

Soccer talent
Rebecca Caulfield from 6th class has been
called up for Leinster soccer trials in Wexford. We wish
her success.
Volleyball coaching
Not only are we fortunate to have GAA and rugby
skills on a weekly basis but now 6th class
are also learning volleyball from St. Mary’s
transition year students for a 6 week period. We are
delighted to have the students most of whom are our own
past pupils.
Supervalu Tokens
While there is some debate about the participation of
schools in commercial promotions our staff have decided
to take part in the latest Supervalu P.E. equipment for
Schools promotion. We feel the supermarket tokens are a
bonus to shoppers and don’t cost families money. So if
you shop in Supervalu we would be happy to have your
tokens!
New Photographic Equipment
Mr. Sean Caulfield of Centra, Campile delivered two
new digital cameras, two printers , a camcorder and a
tripod to the school last week. These all came free as a
result of the Centra Card promotion last term.
