Again the Table Quiz night on November 24th was very successful in its new venue, Howth Golf Club.  This year the fun event realized 4,200 for charity. Great result Lion Richard.

10,000 sent as a matter of urgency to Lions Clubs International Fund towards the Pakistan Earthquake victims disaster fund. 500 granted to a local person towards defraying expences in the transport of  blankets, douvets etc to the Pakistan disaster victims.
An acknowledgement from Clement Kusiak, Lions Clubs International Fund (LCIF) Chairperson, expressed sincere gratitude to Howth Sutton Lions for the generous contribution of $11,498 towards Pakistan Earthquake Disaster Relief – 2005.  Restricted donations such as yours allow LCIF to quickly and effectively ease the suffering of many in the wake of disaster…. Your generosity will most certainly have a positive impact on many lives.’

In February Lion Joe Smith and his team put in a splendid effort in raising over €10,000 from a gala concert by the Garda Band and the Garda Choir in aid of St Michael's House ambulance fund (now standing at €27,500). Howth Sutton Lions are grateful to the Garda Commissioner, the musicians for giving freely of their services and also to St Fintan's High School for a great venue.

Lions Charity Walk around the Hill of Howth on May 14th attracted a good number of perambulators. We are particularly grateful to the youth of Ben Éadair GAA Club for participating in recognition of Howth Sutton Lions sponsorship during the year. Well done Lion Marianne in raising over €5,000 in your first year in Lionism.
