PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE
| A first quote was offered for public liability
insurance for all members of IASI. This was presented to
the last Annual General Meeting. The premium being quoted
at that meeting would have brought the membership fee
from £20 to £60+ per annum, and would have covered all
members up to £1,000,000 liability. We have since done an amount of research and have found the same cover at a better price. The premium involved would add approximately £12 to membership fees, which is more reasonable. Your committee would like to hear what you think of this proposal. The committee does need to be insured against liability claims, and in turn, so do members of the Association. This cover includes training trips abroad organised by, or under the auspices of IASI, which is another good reason, we feel, to adopt this policy. The policy is a Lloyds of London one and is based on a normal outdoor sports activity policy already in existence.
