News Update for 2009


EDERED
13th EUROPEAN CHILDREN'S THEATRE ENCOUNTER 1st – 14th OF JULY 2009, RUSSIA


The Irish Centre/EDERED Ireland is happy to announce that
the 13th European Children Theatre Encounter will be held in Russia (MOSCOW Region)

Participants:Ireland will be represented by 8 children
in the 12-14 years age group. (4 girls and 4 boys)
They will be accompanied by two adults (a workshop leader and a welfare/group leader).
Selected participants will be chosen from different regions/counties etc.

Theme of the Encounter - 2009: “Play without limits”

Organizers: EDERED, Theatre Union of the Russian Federation, Russian Center of AITA/IATA.
Working language: English

Local transportation: transfer to and from the airports and railway stations of Moscow
to “Zvenigorod” summer hotel will be organized by the hosts.

Location: EL EJIDO, Baza, GRANADA (Andalucia - Spain)
Performance duration: 60 to 90 minutes max.
Attendees per group: 10 members.
However the number of participants in each group is not limited
but the Organisation assures a coverage of lodging and maintenance for 10 members per group during the days of the festival.
The people involved have to be actors, a director or technicians of the presented performance.
The number of technicians should not exceed three people.

Youth-Theatre ensembles of different genres,
particular type or styles of performing arts
(theatre in combination with dance, fairy tale, character, music…)
from all over the world are invited.
Offered: accommodation and full board for theatre groups
consisting of 10 young people (aged 16 – 20) plus 1 director, plus 1 technician
All travel expenses must covered by participating groups.
Please consider the extra costs should your ensemble exceed 10+2 participants.

to a limited number of international theatre groups that are desirous
of coming to the West Indies for this festival as observers
