Video Conference with teachers in Omagh

On Wednesday 3rd November 2004 a number of pupils and staff travelled to St. Flannan's College in Ennis to take part in a video conference with a group of teachers and Education Officers from the Western Education and Library Board in Omagh in Northern Ireland.

The children made a presentation to the teachers from the north on the 45M Project which the children undertook last year. They displayed and explained the model of the barge and showed some of the beautiful artwork which formed part of the project. Music played a large part in the 45M Project and two of the children performed 'live' on the internet for a most appreciative audience in Omagh.

This is the first time the children in our school had taken part in a video conference. However with the installation of 'broadband' in the school in 2005, it should become a regular feature of project work for the children.
