Love Government

"Love conquers everything," probably the shortest, and most overlooked fact in human affairs. Our very existence as a species bears testimony to its truthfulness. Love conquers pain, love conquers hatred, love conquers all that set itself against life. Human love comes as an a priori, it’s an attribute of the human condition itself. Just as sight and hearing, speech and mobility are qualities of being humans, so too is love. We have little choice in the matter, we love as a natural response to life. No doubt we are capable of blocking our natural tendencies. Such aberration in behaviour usually has its source in experiences and conditionings during childhood.

Governmental welfare programmes too have played a part in subverting our good sense as to how to behave towards others. By materially supporting those who hang on to behaviours that are detrimental to the well being of society, Government under-pins the forces of anti-life. That humans sometime fall victim to misguided behaviour is part of the learning process of life but when Government shielded them from the redeeming influences of having to earning a living, misguided individual are condemned by to the half-life of dependency. Nowadays material support is available regardless of one’s willingness to choose the moral qualities that sustain life. The social contract between Government and its citizens now works against civilised community and has done so ever since Government legislated for people’s material welfare. Love was replaced with law and a necessary response to human action was terminated. There has since been a noticeable decline in real gratitude between people for kindness received because Government has been accepted as being in the background ready to provide support. Gradually too it has come to pass there is now little need to control one’s anti-social behaviour or the anti-social behaviour of one’s children as there are now few negative repercussions. Government support perpetuates social defects and so removed the full experience of life for more and more people everyday.

Some might say these actions of Government are an exercise in love trying to conquer with money and legislation. But that is not how love works. As we are gifted with the magic of having a relatively equal balance of male and female children being born demographically, we are also gifted with the possibility to conquer all that stands in our way with love.

To help understand the term love, substitute it with the concept of Good Will. As a species, we have conquered almost every technical difficulty that has stood in our way of development. Despite the fact that hunger, famine, and war, have dragged like shackles at the heels of our advancement since the dawn of history, love or good will brought us through our darkest times and so to a higher level of being. Love does not conquer other human attributes, it does not set out to destroy life. Sight, intelligence and mobility are not qualities love set itself against. It often comes to pass that hunger, famine and war have their sources in natural phenomena or opposing cultural viewpoints rather than a lack of Good Will. In point of fact, many wars are fought against opposing force for the quality of life and liberty. All life is subject to nature, to its whims of disaster, destruction and apparent unfairness. It can affect a human life, cause hatred and anger towards creation and creator. Yet all these experience can be overcome if exposed to love. In kindness, forgiveness and understanding human beings can find a way out of the miseries that befall them but only if they are forced to seek out the help of others. Government welfare programs stand as the new alternative to these life enhancing experiences, offering those that have had some deep loss or deprivation an opiate to sustain them in their state. Why rise? Why reach out?
