Anne Campbell Crawford

Anne came to live in Dublin in 1969 having been born in Belgium and brought up in the then Northern Rhodesia. She was the youngest and only student, for ten years to become a member of the Royal Academy of Dancing.

Since then, she has had a long and varied career in performing, TV presentation, the teaching of Ballet, Modern and Jazz and choreography. Soon after coming to live in Ireland, she founded and became principal teacher of the Dublin School of Classical and Contemporary Dance for dancers and teachers.

She travels widely to further her knowledge and experience in the art of Dance. Recently she has been guest teacher with the Tallahassee Ballet Company, Florida, and a guest speaker on "The Art of Ballet" at UCD's Art Forum.

In 1996, Anne was awarded the Licenciate Diploma and in 1997, Anne was included in the Royal Academy of Dancing's register of "non-syllabus" teachers for Summer Schools, Winter Schools and Easter Schools.

It is through her initiative that the foundation stones were laid for the Parallel Project of Irish Junior Ballet and the Akademie des Tanzes Heidelberg-Mannheim.
