ORIENTALIS
Deciduous climber, nodding bell shaped flowers of a deep yellow followed by silky seed pods which persist into late winter. This clematis flowers almost continously from mid-summer until late autumn. Prune hard to ground level in early spring, suitable for climbing through a large shrub or tree keep well watered until established mulch after pruning.
Viburnum x bodnantense VIBURNUM
BODNANTENSE.
Deciduous upright shrub, fully hardy covered in clusters of small fragrant pinky-white flowers from late autumn until early spring. Suitable for all soils except water-logged soil, all positions suit this accommodating shrub. Prune after flowering by removing three year old stems right down to ground level. 2 metres x 3 metres Highly recommended

AESCULIFOLIA.
Deciduous perrenial, although not strictly winter flowering it`s dead flowers add a bold statement to the pond-side or the flower border during wintertime. Grows in full sun or semi-shade in a fertile damp soil. Propagate by division in spring.
Pyracantha PYRACANTHA
MOHAVE.
Evergreen spiny wall-shrub suitable for fertile soils and full sun or partial shade. Can also be grown free-standing to make a very prickly hedge to keep out unwanted guests. Cut back long shoots after flowering in spring. Is supceptible to scab & fire-blight water with a systemic fungicide in spring & autumn.
