McHappiness
By Anthony Conroy
Woke up this morning at five AM,
Put on the uniform and the great big grin,
Across the city my head starts to spin,
Marching head-lights and the golden rims,
Look around you they have the disease,
Empty answers but they got them for free,
Get the bus or drive my car,
It doesn't matter cause I won't get far.
McHappiness,
McHappiness.
Walk the streets see the clogged arteries,
Damaged focus and a thickness of greed,
Hear the sirens evil tyrants snare,
Move like cattle we just don't care,
Watch TV and fall asleep,
Creeping mind-fuck waiting toilet-deep,
Work tommorow for shitty pay,
McHappiness is waiting for you next day.
McHappiness,
McHappiness.
Clock's ticking time's running out,
Gingerbread men down the liar's mouth...
Light's changing better get there soon,
Burst my head like a ripe balloon...
