The Life Of Jenny
By Billy O'Neill
He dragged her corpse deep into the shadows
Where only the eyes of death could see
Her lump-hammered head, her scull like an egg box
Dripping with gore, his swift handed frenzy
The softness of earth, removed oh so swiftly
A hole he dug, oh so fit for his queen
Deep in the forest away from the strangers
His true love would rest here forever unseen
Under the malevolent glow of black moonlight
Patting down soil, reseating the sod
Covering tracks and erasing all signs of life
Mumbled approval and satisfied nod
He wept as he bade farewell to his sweetheart
His murderous hands had killed once again
Resolving to put an end to the madness
Ronnie picked up the hammer and smashed at his brain
