The Society of Irish Reenactors is an association of people interested in the accurate recreation of historic Irish battles, important cultural events of Irish history, and displays of early Irish life. The Society supports continuing programs of research, training, teaching, promoting, organising and staging these events as interactive and fascinating exhibitions of Living History, with authentic replicas of clothing, artifacts and weapons of the time.

SIR programs include a wide variety of activities such as:
