Sam Spillane - "After the cup final in 1961, his next major appointment was a university international at the Mardyke involving Ireland and England. His growing reputation led him to handle the League of Ireland against the Irish League in 1962."

Billy Falvey - "Billy joined the pro ranks in 1975 and went onto a long and successful career.After taking a break for two years, due to an injury, he went onto officiate at every A.U.L. final."

Willie Long - "Willie Long has been refereeing for the past 28 years. Thirteen of which were spent on the National League Panel and for five years Willie was on the FIFA Assistant Referees Panel, 1995 - 2000."

Pat Kelly - In an earlier life he was a League of Ireland referee, as was his father before him, and now his son is following in the family footsteps. Between them Tim, Pat and Alan Kelly have given five decades of service to Irish football.
Gerry Desmond, Cork City FC programme editor, recently met up with Pat and found about the unique role the Kelly whistlers have played since the 1950s. Read it here
Pat Kelly - "The highlight of his career must surely have been his appointment to handle the 1993 UEFA U16 Final in Turkey between Italy and Portugal. He became the first Irish official to handle a UEFA Final."

John Spillane - "In 1988, he refereed the FAI Cup Final between Dundalk and Derry City, and it was during this period that he undertook the bulk of his twenty-five European ties, before retiring in 1991."
