Season 2003/04

July 2003

Alan Hayes officiated in 17 games at the Manchester International Umbro Cup from July 23rd to July 27th at the University of Manchester. The Manchester International Umbro Cup is the fifth biggest youth tournament in the world.

On 14/08/03 in the UEFA Cup match between FK Viktoria Zizkov (CZE) and FC Zhenis Astana (KZK) in Prague, Czech Republic, KELLY Alan (IRL) will be refereeing with FOLEY Eddie (IRL) and DELANEY Ciaran (IRL) on the line. BUTTIMER Anthony (IRL) is the fourth official.

UEFA Champions League game on 23rd July between KF Tirana (ALB) and FC Dinamo Tbilisi (GEO). The match officials are Alan KELLY (Cork), Eddie FOLEY (Cork), Martin MOLONEY (Kildare/Laois) and Ian STOKES (Dublin).

The Inter Pub Final in Turner's Cross is refereed by Eddie McNally. Eddie is also named Cork AUL Referee of the year.


Season 2002/03

August 2002

The Mardyke Cup was held from August 12th to 16th in The Farm in Bishopstown.

July 2002

National League panel for season 2002/2003 remains the same as last season as all six of our National League referees retain their places on the panel.

Willie Long and Gene Stephens took part in a Referees Inspectors Course in Dublin.

Alan Kelly took charge of the UEFA Intertoto Cup match between FK Cementarnica of Macedonia and FH Hafnarfjördur of Iceland in Skopje, Macedonia.

Richard Bond & Ger Lynch officiated at the Kennedy Cup for a week in June

May 2002

The AOH Cup Final was refereed by Fred Murray. He was assisted by Frank Murphy and Denis Crowley.

April 2002

March 2002

Alan Kelly took charge of the U21 International between England v. Italy in Bradford.

Eddie Foley was assisting Alan along with JP Kelly form Kildare.

Alan Kelly travelled to referee in the Under 17 European Championships, Denmark in March where he refereed the semi final between France and Spain.

The second module of the FAI Referees School of Excellence was held in Dublin. Graham Kelly, Mark Healy, Alan Hayes and Eddie McNally attended.

February 2002

Eddie Foley was an assistant referee for Paul McKeown (Dublin) in Cardiff for the International Senior Friendly between Wales and Argentina.

Dan Deady took charge of his first Eircom League game when he refereed Kilkeny City v. Sligo Rvrs in Buckley Park. Congratulations Dan.

January 2002

Youths League Cup Final was refereed by Sean Hegarty and Pat Murphy and Barry Buckley were the assistants.

December 2001

Congratulations to Alan Kelly who has been promoted to the status of FIFA Referee. Alan is the first referee to gain the FIFA Referee's badge from this branch since his father Pat a number of years ago. He has a long and prosperous journey ahead of him.

Eddie Foley retains his place on the FIFA Assistant Referees Panel. Eddie has been on the panel since 1995 and has lined at France '98 and Euro 2000.

Pat Kelly has been promoted to FAI Senior Development Officer of the Elite Referees

Keane Cup Final involving St.Mary's and College Corinthians was refereed by Tom Tully who was assisted by Damien O'Mahony & John Lyne

Four of our referees attended the first module of the FAI Referees School of Excellence in Dublin. From the Cork Schoolboys League panel; Graham Kelly, Mark Healy & Alan Hayes and from the Cork AUL panel; Eddie McNally.

November 2001

The U17 League Cup Final involving Rockmount and Kilreen was refereed by Frank Murphy who was assisted by Florrie Mehigan & Denis Morley

September 2001

Eddie Foley was an assistant referee for Hugh Byrne (Dublin) for the World Cup Qualifier between the Faroe Islands and Russia in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands.

August 2001

Eddie Foley was an assistant referee to Hugh Byrne in Lithuania for FK Zalgiris Vilnius (LIT) and Maccabi Tel-Aviv (ISR).

Aiden O'Regan was the Fourth Official to John Feighrey for GÍ Gøtu (FRO) v. FK Obilic (YUG) in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands

The Mardyke Cup took place in The Farm in Bishopstown from the 14th to the 18th of August.

July 2001

Eddie Foley was on the line to Paul McKeown in the UEFA Champions League Qualifying Round tie between Valletta FC from Malta and FC Haka (Finland).

Alan Kelly travelled to Spain to officiate in the European Youth Olympic Championships. Alan was given the honour of handling the first game of the tournament - Spain -v- Portugal.

Alan Kelly took charge of the pre-season friendly between Cork City FC and Glasgow Celtic FC at Turners Cross.

June 2001

The AOH Cup Final was refereed by Tom Tully, who was assisted by Damian O'Mahony and Niall O'Keeffe.

Alan Kelly was in Portugal for the Oporto Invitational Youth Tournament
