28th January 2003 - University of Tennessee's Andrew Brew fractures ankle
University of Tennessee's Andrew Bree has fractured his ankle in a fall near his American University in Tennessee.
Bree, who finished fourth in the 200 metres Breastroke at the recent European Championships, opted to have surgery on the injury rather than have it placed in a cast.
It comes at a bad time for Bree as it curtails the build up to the World University Games in Daegu, the World Championships in Barcelona (both in August) and the Europeans in Dublin next December.
