This Newsletter is addressed privately to Lay, Religious, and Jesuits together.
This Newsletter may not print well, as it is designed for the screen only... sorry about that!

Wishing all a happy and graced

St Ignatius Day, Thursday, July 31st.

There is a great paucity of material for publication.
Perhaps the Lay part of LayJay might come up with some 'copy'
that would stimulate
conversation,
thought,
prayer,
or even a mild controversy
to set the blood racing.

Workshop/Seminar
WINDOWS ON SOCIAL SPIRITUALITY

· A Workshop/Seminar for Jesuits and our lay colleagues and friends.

· It will be based on the book "Windows on Social Spirituality" recently published by the
Jesuit Centre for Faith and Justice and Columba Press.

· The presenters will be from among the book's authors and will include
Aileen Walsh, Peter McVerry, and Bill Toner.

· The location: Manresa House, Dollymount, Dublin 3

· Dates: 5th September (7.30 p.m.) to 7th September (1 p.m.).

· Booking (Jesuits and Lay): Apply directly to the Secretary, Manresa. Tel: 01-833-1352

· Cost: A contribution of 60 euro by each participant will be requested. The remainder will be subsidised by the Province.

· Lay colleagues are asked to inform their Jesuit colleagues and friends about the workshop/seminar and to encourage them to attend.

· Jesuits are asked to inform their lay colleagues and friends about the workshop/seminar and to encourage them to attend.

· It would be good if all the apostolates and sectors in the Province were represented.

· Participants are asked to have read the book beforehand.

· Further enquiries: Brian O'Leary (01-497-2962) or Leon Ó Giolláin (01-805-7221).

Assisted Steps:

As a sign of the times, hand rails have been provided on the steps up to Loyola House's front door.... accessibility is what it is all about these days.
