Computers have become a routine part of daily life for many people these days. The question of what effect computers have on the eyes is a significant public health issue.
The most common complaints are usually regarding sore, tired or dry eyes. Computer users also often experience shoulder and back pain which can be vision related. Although there is no reliable evidence that computer use damages the eyes, a significant proportion of VDU users complain of eye problems (up to 85% according to some studies).
