WELCOME TO LENEHAN'S
|
This is what little of the Family History that I have been able to trace so far.
Thanks to cousin Bob Beechinor Jr. for a lot of the info. |
|
I will start with my Great Grand Parents
I am only looking at my paternal side for the moment.
Michael Lenehan ( - ) married Ellen Duggan ( - )
LtoR Nora L McAullife, Ellen Duggan Lenehan, Michael Lenehan, Julia L Beechnior.
They farmed in Killowen, Newmarket, Co. Cork Ireland.
They are buried in Clonfert Cemetery, Newmarket, Co Cork
They had a number of children.
I hope to do more research on Michael in the near future.
The Children are as follows:
Jeremiah M Lenehan (b.1877 - 1949) married Katherine Keohane (b.1879 - 1964)
Jeremiah was born in Newmarket, Co Cork. I do not know where Katherine was born.
They are both buried in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery Bloomfield, Connecticut.
These are my Grand Parents.
Nora Lenehan (1887-1959) married McAuliffe
From a photo page it seems there are McAuliffe relatives in
"Killoween" Newmarket and somewhere in Killarney.
(1984 - info). Michael McAuliffe, Kathleen (Kattie) McAuliffe, Nelly McAuliffe Sullivan,
Kitty McAuliffe Keane,
Mary McAuliffe Cronin -London England.
Owen and Mary O'Riordan nee McAuliffe.
Julia Lenehan (1886 - 1951) married Robert M Beechinor)
Their children that I know of are:
Jack Beechinor
Col. Robert M Beechinor Jr. (USA Ret)
To whom is owed a great deal for providing me with a lot of this information.
Eileen Beechinor m LaDuke
Andrew J Beechinor
Kay Beechinor Marsh
Maggie Beechinor Bolton
Maggie Lenehan married Finn
Hanna Lenehan married Flynn
Nell Lenehan married John Noonan (b. Fremont, Co Cork)
I have to follow a story I heard in my youth about two older brothers who got into a spot
of bother and headed off to Australia and or England. I did ask my grand mother about this
but she would not discuss it. But neither did she deny it. I only know they were never
heard of or mentioned again.
