Ború formed in the summer of 1985 after six months rehearsing, they went on the road as a professional Folk Group. After extensive gigging throughout Ireland They appeared on the Late Late Show. Then after touring with Brendan Grace, Played with such acclaimed artists as Paddy Reilly and the Furey Brothers, etc. The band swept the board to collect Ireland's Top Ballad Group Award in Castlebar in 1986 with a special mention of their original song writing ability. Hard work and dedication created a great following for them around the country. Ború earned International fame after tours of America Europe and England. Appearing before huge audiences at Hunter Mountain Celtic Festival New York, and many other US venues. Ború released many albums and EP's with lots of original songs, and some good Chart successes.
