Storm Clouds over Mount Leinster   24" x 18"

Storm Clouds over Mount Leinster by John Penfold Ballyine Borris Ireland After painting the sunny wheat fields, we had a few days of cloudy weather, when it threatened rain. The clouds really seemed to boil off Mount Leinster, which I can see from my house.

There seemed to be a cold gust of wind coming at you, which I felt when I was painting it. Eerily enough, when I exhibited this, the first thing the organizer said was that she could almost feel a cold gush of wind coming from the mountain. Yet I can't put my finger on what in the painting does that. The photo does this painting no justice at all, by the way, it looks much more compelling in real life.
