Superb Comeback by Celtic against Drums

Castleknock Celtic  3   Drumcondra  2

Many of the older vintage of our readers will fondly remember Drumcondra from Ballybough, when they were a powerful force in the League of Ireland.  The visitors today were again in the famous yellow and blue.  They got off to a great start, and led 2-0 at half time.

Celtic made an amazing recovery with the wind at their backs in the second half.  Prolific scorer Christopher Hoey made it 1-2.  Gerard Farrelly brought the teams level.  And with the sun, wind and momentum behind them, Hoey was again the man for the big occasion when he shot a beautiful strike to give the Drums keeper no chance.  3-2.
