Weekend Sat/Sun 14/15 February 2004

As have narrow 3-2 win at home to Ratoath Harps thanks to Ryan Moore hat-trick.  Best wishes to Eve Farrelly who was not well enough to play this weekend.  See you soon back in action DV, Eve.

As too strong for Trinity S&L as they take the points with 4-1 win.  Goalscorers included Roddy Collins and Sean Hoare.

Es have comfortable 6-0 win over Rivervalley Rangers.  Goals came from Richard O'Neill, Gavin Hamilton, Conor Clarke, Tiernan O'Donoghue, and Thomas Quigley.

As desperately unlucky in SFAI Cup as they lose 1-0 to Salthill Devon in Galway.  Cillian Brophy appeared to be taken down in the box, but the ref waved play on.

Es have resounding 9-2 win away to Dunshaughlin Youths in Co Meath.

A maintain their excellent run with 2-0 win at home to Skerries Town.  On the mark for Celtic were Chris Hoey, who beautifully chipped the keeper, after being set up by young Farrelly.  Eoghan Furlong got the second after an amazing solo run.

As take the points in workmanlike performance against St Josephs EW.  Stephen Dervan was again on the mark, with Barry Flanagan and Liam Boyle getting the other two. Darragh Daly went close on a couple of occasions, according to some reports!

Ds keep up their good run with 4-1 away win in Clonee against Littlepacers.  Ciaran Egan, an own goal, and two from big Killian, were the scorers  Manager Jim Kelly was full of praise for new man in black, Alan Mahon, who showed great authority in the middle.  Best wishes to Alan as he embarks on his new career in football.  We hope he will continue to help us with his coaching skills, which he currently provides to the U-16 Major side.

Major DDSL lose to single goal to league leaders, Rangers FC.

AUL Div2 teams have mixed fortune in Elastoplast.  It was expected that the Div2 side would have the tougher time progressing, but it was they who moved on, thanks to a 2-1 win over Hill Celtic, courtesy of goals from Paul Newman (penalty) and Neil Carroll.  Meantime, Div2A, went down 3-2 away to Porto FC in Malahide.  They had led 2-0 with goals from Stefs Hennessy and Deco Cunningham.  But they lost concentration just before and after half-time.

s DDSL are through to the Semi-Final of the Dublin Cup after they have resounding 6-1 win over Ballyoulster.  Prolific scorer Simon Fleming got a couple, Andy Weldon, Adam and Steve O'Callaghan, and Colm Brady got the others.  Manager Arnie Brady was justly delighted with his squad who performed so well.  It was obvious that their comprehensive training programme is paying dividends as they again showed their superior stamina.  They had led by just one at half-time.
