Weekend Sat/Sun 21/22 February 2004
12Ds put on a marvellous performance when their 9-man team earned a share of the points with the visiting Huntstown Villa. Villa took the lead in the first half, but Oisin Hunt drew the home side level. Celtic fell behind again, and again they bounced back when Graham Walsh shot home to bring a smile to manager Jim Kennelly's face. He was delighted with a tremendous battling performance by his troops. | Alan Crampton
had a comfortable afternoon on the line, when his 13F
team took all the points against the visiting Rush Athletic. On
the mark for the home side were Conor Mannion (2), Niall Fitzpatrick,
and David Rush.
Hugh Kennedy was full of praise for his 13D team after this game, particularly for his keeper, Sam Halford, who marshalled the defence like a veteran. Celtic's goal came from Shane Kennedy, which earned the home side a fair draw. |
