Celtic had a comfortable win over St Brendans. They took the lead through a fine header from Tom Mooney following Craig McGivern's corner kick. Johnny Cooper got his first before half-time. He was to follow this up with his second after the break. David Kilboyle rounded up the scoring with a competent finish.
This was an excellently efficient performance by Celtic, and full credit to each and every player who all played their part in delivering full points. Manager Jim Kennelly and coach Derek McGivern were both very satisfied, but they know there a much tougher tests ahead.
