28/5/01 : Castleknock Celtic's U-8s under Tony Hanlon's management put on a superb display to overcome a gutsy performance by the visitors from Rush Athletic.  Celtic went behind early on, but came back to equalise with a goal from Ryan Hickey (photo below). David Cummins (photo below) took his chance when he turned inside the centre-back and slotted the ball past the diving keeper.  Sean Hanlon (photo below) scored the third after great work by the Celtic striker.  But Rush fought like terriers and got a reward with a second goal, but try as they may, they were unable to get level.  Conor Riordan was a rock at the back and was this reporter's 'man of the match'.
