NDSL 8A Adam Kelly continued his rich vein of scoring form with a goal to earn his side a share of points with the visiting Mid-Sutton.  This followed his hat-trick last week away to St Columbans Boys.  see pic

DDSL 11A Celtic lose out 2-1in their local derby game away to St Mochtas, in the Jimmy Flood Cup 1st round.

NDSL 11D Celtic were much too strong for the visiting Darndale side, as the home side won 3-0 with strikes from Sean Clarke, Conor McCabe, and Emma Keyes.  Man of the Match was Conor Hanley. Full marks to Craig Norton who came from his midweek sick bed to give it 100% yet again.

NDSL 13 Premier Thomas Shields and Graham Jordan were on the mark for Celtic to give them a 2-1 home win in the league.

NDSL 14A Fergal Murphy was on hand to hit home two for Celtic as they eased their way to a 3-1 win over Trinity S&L.  Celtic's third came from the penalty spot after the ball was handled in the Trinity penalty box.  Craig McGivern coolly slotted into the corner, see pic.

NDSL 15A Celtic fought hard for this 1-1 draw.  They were below their best, but Eoghan Furlong was on the mark for the home side against the visiting Skerries Town team to earn a share of the points.

DDSL 18 Premier - FAI Cup Celtic were a little unlucky to lose out in this 5 goal battle.  Sheriff Youth Club won last year's Premier title, and are currently in the Super League.  They went 1-0 behind as a result of Yuri Assis's goal in the first half.  But Sheriff fought back to go 2-1 ahead.  Mid-way through the second half, Ronan McGivern scored a well-crafted goal to put Celtic all square.  But a lapse in the Celtic defence late on led to Sheriff's progressing into the FAI Cup 2nd round.  Vernon McAllorum was well pleased that his team had given him 100%, but alas it was not enough.

AUL Div1 Sat- FAI Jnr Cup This was a marvellous performance by our Division 2A league winners from last year.  They have started off the new season on a great run, and they capped the new campaign with a brilliant 3-0 home win against Skerries Town.  Marto Fleming, Michael Barrett, and Shane Hennessy from a free kick, scored the Celtic goals and put them into the 2nd Round.

AUL Div3 Sun - Leinster Jnr Shield After the disappointment of their 4-3 defeat last week, Celtic's young guns were back to winning ways.  The suffered a setback early on when they went behind.  But Colm Brady levelled things for the visitors.  Arthur McEntee curled a beautiful free kick into the net to put Celtic 2-1 ahead.  Wei Uatua hit 2 for Celtic to give them a 4-2 victory and a great start to the premier shield competition.  Eddie O'Callaghan was delighted that they played as a team and were well deserved winners.

NDSL 12B The U12Bs got back to winning ways with a 4-2 victory away to Malahide United. Jamie Reid opened the scoring after running onto a lovely through ball by Eoghan Haughton. A short time later, Malahide equalised from a free kick and took the lead just before half-time, when the Celtic defence failed to clear a corner.

Celtic's 2nd goal came in the 2nd half after some great work down the right wing by Jamie Reid. His cross was met by Ryan Flood who made no mistake in finding the back of the net. The 3rd goal also came from some good play by Jamie Reid who ran beyond the Malahide defence and rolled the ball under the on-coming keeper. Celtic made sure of victory after a great run by Thomas Healy down the right wing which he finished off with a sublime chip into the top corner of the Malahide goal.

For the final 10 minutes of the match, Malahide piled on the pressure and threw players forward as they chased the game. However the Celtic defence held firm, particularly in the centre, where Gareth Duffy and Kevin Hartnett had excellent games. All in all, a great win on a lovely sunny morning that sent everyone away happy.
