Castleknock's successful run in the Kevin Moran Cup continued with a 2-1 victory away to Clontarf.

Castleknock took the lead in the first half with a header from close range by Ryan Flood.  Jamie Reid added a second midway through the second half to give the hoops a 2-0 lead.

Clontarf pushed forward in search of a goal and were rewarded for their efforts with a goal from the penalty spot 5 minutes from the end.

The Castleknock defence stood firm for the remainder of the game and the visitors booked their place in the next round of the competition.  Their neighbours from Peck's Lane must be just a bit concerned about the threat coming the Phoenix end of Castleknock.
