Castleknock Celtic 3 Intel 1
Castleknock Celtic made heavy weather of this game that they should have had sewn up in the first half. Alas, they went in 1-0 down at half time to everyone's amazement.
Celtic came out with more resolve in the second half. They still found it difficult to make the breakthrough. Eventually they got their reward, though it was very fortuitous when it came. Wei fought hard for possession and it paid dividends as it led to an error in the Intel defence, which ended up with the ball amazingly creeping into the goal. 1-1.
This provided Celtic with the initiative to close out the match. Billy Thompson's flick past the goalkeeper game Celtic put them 2-1 ahead. And then late on we had the highlight of the game. The ball broke loose to Colm Brady, 25 yards out, and he rifled the ball past the Intel keeper, who could only get a palm to the ball. 3-1. And Celtic are continuing to climb the league table, which if maintained would see them vying for the top spot.
