Drogheda Town  0  Castleknock Celtic  6

AUL Div 3 Sunday

Sun. 9th April 06

The lay-off did not adversely affect Eddie O'Callaghan's young colts.  They were on fire today in Drogheda despite the trip up the M1.  It was a day of one-twos between Simon Fleming and Adam O'Callaghan.  They exchanged passes no less than 3 times which resulted in a goal each time.

Simon also scored after he flicked a ball over the defender, which he smashed into the net.  Adam was to score a similar goal himself.  Adam completed his scoring with the help of brother, Steve, who had been unceremoniously taken down in the box.  Adam made no mistake with the penalty.  Man of the match was Garga Twai, Celtic's keeper, who was brilliant and ensured a clean sheet for his team with a string of superb saves.  The spectators behind the goal were very excited with his performance, chanting "Garga for Ireland". Easy-peasy.  Manager Eddie was naturally delighted that his team were back to top form, which augurs well as they prepare for the run-in to the final games of the season.  They cannot afford to lose points, so today's performance sets them up nicely for a serious challenge on the league leaders.
