Ballymun Utd  3   Castleknock Celtic  3

We played away against Ballymun this morning. Final score was 3-3. The team started well scoring all the goals in the first half. Conor McDonald, Jamie Reid & Eoghan Haughton scored the goals for us. At half-time, the score was 1-3 to us. However Ballymun came back strongly in 2nd half and pulled back 2 goals.

There was no referee for the match today - second time in recent weeks that happened to us. I will drop the match card into you later. I 'd appreciate if you could drop into the League HQ. Ballymun are in the running for the league title and will need to point from today's match!!

We also played a match away to St Paul's on Friday evening. We lost to them 0-3. Unfortunately I only had 10 players for that match. The team played really well for the first 40 mins. The match was scoreless until mid-way through the 2nd half, they scored. Tiredness took over after that, and we conceded a further 2 goals near the end. With a full team, we could have taken some points from the game.

As I mentioned to you previously, I planned to step back from the running of the team next year. I have been doing it for 5 years and I want to take a break. With work commitments, I am finding it extremely diffult to find time for training & mid-week matches. I 'm not sure if my team will survive in its present form. Donal is looking for 3-4 players, and there are a couple of players who should drop to a lower level. So that will leave too few players for a B-level team.
