High-flying Celtic did just about enough to seal the three points in a closely fought league match on a cool autumn morning in Porterstown.  It was very much a team performance, but if you were to pick a man of the match, it was Lee Hargadon shading it from Des Mulloy, who was the two-goal hero taking his chances well.  Celtic led 2-0 at half time, and Malahide were always in with a chance when they pulled it back to 2-1 with 10 minutes remaining with a goal by Danny Shanley, with Joe Maguir providing the pass. But Celtic deservedly held on to take the spoils.
