brainwaves

The baby has become sensitive and responds to touch. All five major areas of the adult brain are present. Brain function, as measured by EEG waves, has been recorded as early as 40 days. The head takes up about one third of the body's total volume but will begin to become more proportionate to the rest of the body as the baby grows older.
