| Through the County Dublin VEC we have lodged a formal application to the Department of Education for official recognition of the new school. We will be granted this recognition when we have demonstrated the demand for the new school and so ask you to signal your support for the new school; you can write a letter to the department directly, or add your name to our list of supporters; you can contact your local politicians listed here, and you can keep an eye out for the social events taking place in your area |

| We have seen the benefits to our children from attending community-based Irish-language schools . We have also seen how such schools can aid the cultural and social life of the community generally. We believe we should expect those educational and personal development opportunities to be open to our children at second level also and so we are seeking to establish a new community-based school in South Dublin which will give further educational opportunities through Irish to our children. | |||||||||||||||||||

| The Gaelcholáiste has the support of many parents with children in Gaelscoileanna already. Parents from Scoil Bhríde and Lios na nÓg (Ranelagh), Scoil Malóga (Harold’s Cross), Scoil Naithí (Balinteer), Gaelscoil Chnoc Liamhna (Knocklyon) and Scoil Thaobh na Coille (Kilternan) participate in our campaign and there are already 270 families on our list of supporters.
