The Irish Meteorological Society is delighted to present a lecture by Award Winning Broadcast Meteorologist with Sky News, Francis Wilson Courageous balloonists in the 18^th and 19^th Centuries risked their lives in order to study the skies and made a major contribution to Meteorology by providing information on the winds and temperatures of the upper atmosphere. Europe's own Francis Wilson has also taken to the Skies in the interests of Meteorology
