Kells Heritage Trail

Kells Heritage Trail, officially declared open by Mrs Mary McAleese, provides visitors with a signed walking tour of the town, with emphasis on the historical remains. It is a convenient way to visit all the town's antiquities. Most of the sights on the tour are illustrated elsewhere on this site and there are links to the relevant pages in the description of the Trail. A brochure is available from the Tourist Office in the town. The suggested stops on the tour are listed below, together with a map. A fully illustrated guide is available from the Kells Town Hall.
