The cottage is located in the parish of Tuosist just 8 miles from the town of Kenmare. Tuosist beams its beauty in all directions.Mountains, lakes, forest groves and sea blend to create a colourful pattern of sheer beauty. Lauragh, Cloonee, Lohart and Dawros - together form this holiday fairyland and provide a feast of superb scenery. Among it's gems are the three vallevs of Glenmore, Gleninchaquin and Dromoughty.See the coast Road, kilmakilloge, Derreen gardens, and of course the world famous Healy Pass. Tuosist is situated on the southern shore of Kenmare bay, along which it stretches for 23 miles. It forms part of the Beara Peninsula, down the centre of which runs a backbone of mountains, the Caha and Slieve Miskish ranges. In Tuosist you will find some of the loveliest and most unspoilt scenery. Blue sea and lakes, river valleys, wooded glens and mountains clad in the golden fire of gorse and the purple glow of heather. Since the warm gulf stream wash Kerry shores, the climate is exceptionally mild, permitting a sub-tropical flora, including fuchsia, rhododendron and arbutus to flourish in the open air.
