COTES DU RHONE VILLAGES, CAIRANNE - Domaine Rocher
Discovered during a trip to the south of France last year, Domaine Rocher is situated on a hill overlooking the old village of Cairanne. Up until 1996 its grapes were all sold to the local co-operative, but since its purchase by Dominique Rocher, it has seen the installation of a state of the art winery. Its red wines are warm and peppery with rich, full fruit characters and long term cellaring potential.
| 1998 | £89.00 |

COTES DU RHONE RESERVE - Perrin | 1996 | £87.50 |
VACUEYRAS - Domaine Courolou
This small family run estate is situated in the heart of Vacqueyras, the full peppery Grenache based neighbour to Gigondas. The wines are finely structured, have great ageing potential and more often than not are cheaper than their more hyped neighbours.
| 1997 | £89.95 |
RASTEAU-VILLAGES - Domaine la Soumade
Andre Romero's wines continue to garner accolades and there is no doubt that he is a star in the making. His Rasteau is spicy, rich and warm and drinks well above its humble appellation. | 1997/8 | £96.95 |

SAINT-JOSEPH - Le Champ de la Roche | 1994 | £99.50 |
CHATEAU LA NERTHE - Chateauneauf-du-Pape
This Chateau consistantly turns out one of the very finest wines in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. More modern in style than some of its neighbours, the wines exhibit exotic, spicy scents with robust fruit flavours and a luxuriously viscous texture. | 1996/7 | £178.50 |
CHATEAU DE BEAUCASTEL - Chateauneauf-du-Pape
The Perrin brothers produce the most sought after, ageworthy wine in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. The vines are old and organically farmed leading to low yields and the resulting wines are deep coloured, concentratedand juicy with huge reserves of spicy, blackberry fruit and a smashing finish. No wonder our small allocation gets snapped up so quickly. | 1996&97 | POA |
