June 1978 - Radio Carousel, Dundalk. Oh my God! is this REALLY ME?? Afraid so! Pictured in the rooftop studio of the Dundalk Shopping Centre, this is DJ Kieran Murray. I was the first voice heard on Radio Carousel, Dundalk. The wavelength was 265 meters and all the promotional stickers advertised this.

The mixer was an old Disco Deck with twin turntables. A Shure Microphone and a microphone stand, plus two old cart machines and Reel Tape Machine completed the studio equipment set-up in those early days. All the advertisements were recorded on one continuous reel of tape all using the same background music: "Star Wars" by Meko. I NEVER want to hear that track ever again!
