February 1979 - Radio Carousel, Dundalk. This is Radio Carousel's Managing Director Hugh Hardy! He's the man who owned and created Radio Carousel. He's the man who invited me to go from Dublin to Dundalk to work on his new radio station. Hugh presented the very popular "Country Call" request programme each day. He started doing Midday to 1.00pm, then progressed some months later to a second show from 7.00pm to 8.00pm. The show featured country music - Irish and American, plus requests.
