(to create a thumbnail or just to reduce the file size)
Image menu - Resize
Change either pixel size or % of original or Actual/print size (increasing the resolution in the\latter reduces the file size)
Save files under the JPEG (photographs) or GIF formats to make them suitable for use on the Internet.
Choose File menu - JPEG or GIF Optimizer
Complete the dialogue box that launches or if unsure click on Use Wizard
This inserts a number of hyperlinks into an image.
Choose File menu - Export - Image Mapper
Choose the shape you want and click into the image preview
- Drag out the shape in (say) the top left hand corner
- Click into the first tool (diagonal arrow)
- Fill in the Properties sections
Type in the file name in the URL box
Type in the alternative text (to appear when the mouse hovers over the image)Repeat for the next area of the shape (say top right hand corner) you want to become a hyperlink
And so on...
Select the format (GIF or JPEG) and click Optimize Image
Click Close and complete any other tasks you are asked.
Specifying a transparent colour tells Paint Shop Pro to deselect it within a selection
Selections menu - Modify - Transparent colour
Specify a tolersnce between 0 (only exact matches) and 200 (all pixels selected)
