Welcome! 
Our School is in County Offaly, in the town of Kilcormac, on the main Tullamore to Birr road. It nestles in the foothills of the Slieve Bloom Mountains and adjacent to St. Cormac's Park.
The compilation of our web-site has been an exciting venture for us. We joined in a SIP project with other primary schools in the area. The Vocational School, Kilcormac is our lead school.
We undertook the study of our local environment, it's history, geography, interests and activities, including an investigation into girls' education in Kilcormac and the role the Sisters of Mercy played in this .
We enjoyed our project, especially the hands -on experience of making a clay model of our locality. Many an inquisitive little finger investigates this model on a daily basis and we are kept busy putting things back in their rightful place.
We did research in the Local Library, spoke with our families, especially Grandparents, read back dated copies of local papers, went on field trips, took photographs and generally enjoyed ourselves.
We say a very special thanks to each person who helped us - especially people who provided us with guidance, old magazines, journals , books and papers.
We are proud of our home town, Kilcormac - the Church of St Cormac.
