June 2001 Achievements Day
Youthreach celebrated its continuing success at the annual achievements day at Butler House in June, highlighting the culmination of the years work. Presentation of certificates in recognition of a broad range of modules and courses took place.
Cllr. Mary Hilda Cavanagh, chairperson of Kilkenny Youthreach Board of Management spoke on behalf of the VEC.
Cllr. Cavanagh said that she was proud to be involve with in Kilkenny Youthreach, managed by Co. Kilkenny Vocation Educational Committee which served Kilkenny, city and county well
Mayor Paul Cuddihy attended to present participants with certificates and awards. Certificating in a broad range of subjects were given: Parenting (The Parenting Programme run in association with the South Eastern Health Board), National Council for Vocational Awards (NCVA) certificates in Art, Craft & Design, Communications, Health Related Fitness, Information Technology, Mathematics and Work Skills. Past participants who attended were formally presented with Junior and Leaving Certificates for exams taken the previous year. Irish Canoe Union (ICU) accredited other awards received for canoeing and outdoor pursuit programmes.

Staff Receive Certificates!
Staff of Kilkenny Youthreach received certificates also! The young people presented staff members with Certificates of Appreciation for all their teaching and encouragement given to them throughout the year. The certificates read:
