Why I like living beside the Sea

The fine boys in Mr. Conway's room put pen to paper to share their views with us on why they like to live beside the sea.

Auctioneers please note !

I like going to the beach because I can find money with my metal detector and I like getting prawns with my two brothers and my daddy. The last time I went to get prawns when we went home there was more children getting prawns in the same place as us and there were none left.

I like to fish with my dad because you can see things like boats and seagulls and on the beach I like swimming and making sandcastles.

Joe Swanton Rang 2

Because when I go to the beach I like swimming. I like to make castles and I can go on the lifeboat. My dad works on the lifeboat.

The reason why I like living beside the sea is because on some beaches there are dolphin, and you can ride on them.
I like the sea.
I like to eat sharks

One day when I was a baby I went into the water. I did not know how to swim and a shark was coming in to get me. No one came then I saw someone was coming. The shark was behind me. Then someone picked me up. It was Barney. But the shark ate him.

Hello, I will tell you about the sea. A lot of people go there when it is sunny. I built a sand castle. Then I went to the harbour with my Dad and I caught a shark. The shark killed a man.
Bye-bye.

David Flynn Rang 2

I like it because sometimes every morning I go down to the beach with my bucket and shovel and I make a castle and I go for a swim. I do the breaststroke and I come back home and have my dinner and then I go to sleep.

I can see the Hook Head sometimes. I fish with my Dad and we go past the Hook. I like the sea because I just walk down the hill and I am there. I skim the water. I can skim the stone nine times. I like going down to the pier. And my dad's boat is called the KBB.

Mark Dwan Rang 2

I don't like living beside the sea. You can drown and the sea is cool. The beach is cool and fun. The water is deep and the sand is deep and the big rock is big and the beach is big.

After all that writing, how would you feel?
