Livestock Improvement Scheme.
Ultrasound Muscle and fat depths were excellent this year. For Lambs weighing up to 50 kg the measured ultrasound muscle depths were up to 34mm and fat was less than 2.4 mm. Growth rates exceeded 350 g per day on a predominantly grass based diet.
