Book: Goodnight Mister Tom by Michelle Magorian

This book is about a young boy called William Beach who, during the war was sent into the country where he would be safe from the bombs. He would also escape from his Mother who beat him severely. An old man called Mr.Tom

Oakley took him in and Will was very happy there. The village was called Little Wierworld and many children were sent there. Will made many friends and during his time there, he found he had a talent for art. One day he got a letter from his mother to say she wanted him to go back to London. When he arrived, she locked him in the house and ran away. Tom came and rescued him. His mother was found dead and Tom adopted him. One day Will's best friend Zach went to London to see his father who was badly hurt. zach was killed while he was in London and Will was devestated.

My favourite character was Tom because he was very kind to Will and did everything for him.

My least favourite character is Will's mother because she was mean to Will, but I also feel sorry for her because she was mentally disturbed.

The spaceship blasted to the moon.

When it got there the spacemen climbed dow the ladder and went off to explord.

They both went together for fear of getting lost.

Soon the men felt hungry

So they ate a piece of the moon for it was indeed made of cheese.

Book :Sarah Scarer by Sally Christie

Its about a girl called Sarah who is afraid of her past.When she started her new school.She had one friend who was really nice and her name was Chloe. Sarah was afraid of her father but only her mother and herself knew why he was in jail.She hated her father.She was a very shy girl.My favourite character: my favourite character is Chloe she was a good girl.My least favourite character:my least favourite character is the head master because he was nasty.The mood of the story is sad.

Book : David Copperfield by Charles Dickens

David Copperfield is the story of a broken hearted man. As a child his stepfather beat him.His stepfather sent him away to bording school,where he was treated very badly. His mother died while he was away. His aunt took him in, she got him enrolled in a fine school and set him a life of good fortune. Although he lost many friends he found comfort in the friendship he had developed with Agnes. She was a kind and loving person who always seemed to make a room warm. He stayed with her and her father while he was at school. There he was happy. It was the only place where David found true happiness, although sometimes he was uncomfortable.

He confessed his love for Agnes. I think after all his troubles he deserved her.

My favourite character was Agnes. She was so warm and caring, she seemed to make everything smile.

My least favourite characterr was Mr.Murdstone, David's stepfather as he tried to turn David's mother against him and he beat David.

It was a depressing story, as I felt sorry for David, but I would highly recommend this book!
