From the Pastor's Desk

A Reflective Prayer

"If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself and take up his cross and follow me."

Jesus my Saviour you called me at baptism into your Church (God's People) to live the Christian message of loving God and my neighbour. This task you knew would not be easy as you said before your passion on the Cross to your Disciple "Come you drink from the cup I must drink from."
My life has many crosses dear Jesus as you know, I pray to you for the strength to carry them
(space for personal prayer) and may I always keep in my mind that you are always there to help me even when I fall under the weight of these crosses to get up and move on as you did on the road to Calvary.
May you also give me strength to help my brothers and sisters in their needs when their crosses are too heavy for them to carry, may I be a Simon of Cyrene, who helped you on your passion journey, help them on their passion journey through this life.
May God help me as his followers to renounce in our selfish ways and accept the crosses of this life for the remission of our sins and that I may always give help as a Baptised Christian to all Gods people. Amen.

Prayer for Vocations
God our Father, send workers into your harvest. May the Spirit we received in Baptism touch the hearts of many to offer themselves in priesthood, religious life, and other forms of service. Give the parents and families of our parish, the wisdom and courage to support young people, in searching for and following the call of God in their lives
